Working closely with the Sustainability Manager, you will split your time fairly equally between administration/documentation and field work. Local day travel is required with the rare overnight stay.
Duties
Our client is a South Island based dairy farming operation with over 60 dairy farms and support blocks that has been operating for over 20 years. They pride themselves on an approach that is based around their people, their process, and their pasture, always with the health and safety of their people first and foremost. Duties
- Verify and maintain accurate records
- Contribute to planning and planting initiatives
- Undertake GIS mapping work
- Assist in Farm Environment Plans
- Monitor water usage, conduct testing and compliance with standards
- Manage effluent practices
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Previous experience in a related field
- Able to work autonomously and use your initiative
- Solid foundation of technical skills
- Experience in agricultural industry preferred
- Dependable and open
