About the Role
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora MidCentral is seeking an experienced and motivated System Administrator to manage and maintain the Éclair Laboratory Information System (LIS). This vital role ensures the stability, security, and continual improvement of a critical clinical system that supports laboratory services and patient care across the MidCentral district.
As the System Administrator for Éclair, you'll:
- Administer, support, and optimise the Éclair LIS, including user setup, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, laboratory teams, and vendors like Sysmex.
- Maintain system documentation and support training resources.
- Generate and improve system reporting.
- Champion continuous improvement in your day-to-day work.

About you
What we are looking for
- Proven experience with clinical systems administration (Éclair or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and system integration
- Minimum 2–3 years working with large-scale applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Interpersonal skills with a passion for system reliability and service
Desirable Extras
- Experience in clinical IT or health informatics
- Familiarity with Sysmex platforms
