Te Papa stands proud as an iconic national building housing the treasures of the nation and is a vibrant destination for both national and international visitors.

We are seeking experienced hospitality workers with a range of availability to join our dynamic Café Team on a casual basis. The Café Team at Te Papa is a fun and supportive atmosphere where you will be working in a busy, fast-paced environment delivering memorable and positive experiences for our visitors.

Flexibility and adaptability will be key to your success as we operate 364 days a year and will require you to be able to work across a variety of locations, days and times. Our casual staff receive rosters in advance so you will enjoy the flexibility of casual work with the benefit and security of knowing when you will be working. Please note school holidays and public holidays are peak times and we will be looking for candidates who are available to work over those times.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Previous fast paced hospitality experience
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to work across days and nights including Public Holidays and Weekends
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills

The hourly rate for this position will be a minimum of $27.80
