Team Administrator, Multilateral and Legal Affairs Group
- Provide support and assistance to the Climate, Antarctic and Environment Division (CAE)
- Involvement with climate change diplomacy, environmental issues and international negotiations
- Report directly to MLG’s Team Leader, with oversight from the Group Business Manager (GBM)
- Interact with other colleagues in key MLG divisions: Legal, Consular, Corporate Legal, Protocol (and Visits/Events), United Nations HR and Commonwealth (including our New York post)
- 12 Month Fixed Term Opportunity
You’ll work closely with a couple of senior admin managers; pick up some tips, tricks and new skills; be involved with important and interesting issues; and work with experienced and friendly colleagues.
Please note this opportunity is 12 months fixed term.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
- Administrative and operational support (working closely with the CAE leadership and staff)
- Financial management (including preparation and oversight of the divisional budget and expenditure variance reporting)
- Event and visits management (assisting with organisation of events and travel bookings)
- HR support, including helping recruitment and induction of staff
While this role currently supports the Climate, Antarctic and Envrionment Division, you may also be required to support other divisions depending on business need.

The full salary range for this role is from $57,656 to $73,671 total remuneration, inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. Appointment within the range will depend on skills and experience.

We’d like to hear from you if you are an experienced administrator with the following skills and experience:
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong relationship management and networking skills
- Ability to anticipate issues and problems, to think beyond an immediate issue to consider longer term implications and to clearly identify what needs to be done
- Demonstrate integrity, discretion and an ethical approach
Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Māori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) into your work.
