About the Role
The Team Coordinator takes an organisational view and ensures that all processes are standardised across all the reception and wider administration teams. With your Team Leader, you will coordinate the team and ensures that Outpatient Reception and Administration Support staff provide a customer focussed, efficient service to patients, relatives and clinical teams.
Some of your duties will include:
- Liaising with clinical staff to ensure patient throughput is managed effectively
- Ensuring administration support is provided promptly
- Coordinating staff training and orientation so they have the right level of knowledge to undertake their role
- Staffing requirements are identified, and strategies are in place to ensure staff engagement
The full salary range for this position is $78,614 - $89,491.
About the Team/Service Location
The Patient Administration Service works across the District to support a patients journey from referral through to discharge. PAS is comprised of several difference services:
- Outpatient Booking Centre, Call Centre and Atrium
- Clinical Typing & Team Support
- Ward Administration & Elective booking
- Outpatient Reception and Administration Support
- Emergency Department and Radiology
Each area has a dedicated Team Leader to provide one point of contact across the group. Our collective goal is to provide efficient and effective administration support that enables clinical staff to focus on providing quality care to patients. This role is part of the Outpatient Reception and Administrative Support service who are spread around the Wellington Hospital in different department.
We facilitate a supportive and collaborative workplace culture, with a commitment to your ongoing professional development. You will be working closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the service needs are met.
