Job Description
The company:
Our client is a well-known New Zealand-based company with 40 years plus industry experience. They specialise in sales, service and management of spray painting equipments.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Service Technician to be responsible for repairing, and servicing the equipment and provide sales support when needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Run front of store and counter sales
- Ensure branch paperwork processed on a daily basis
- Assist with inhouse workshop service as required
- Onsite customer service work as required
- Manage Service Contracts including initial sell and set up
- Assist with project work as required - may require out of town travel
- Be a team player to meet weekly/monthly branch charge-out target
Skills & Experience
Possess proven technical skills combined with the ability to manage those skills in both service and sales environments.
- An ability to absorb and impart highly technical information
- Possess the ability to work well under pressure
- Able to deal with a range of customers technical requirements from the small operator to national corporates and large industrial companies
- Basic electrical qualification or any other relevant qualification is a huge bonus!
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - have an ability to deal with customers!
- Be able to prioritise and have well-developed time management skills.
- A good level of physical fitness as a role requires a mixture of lifting, standing for extended periods and bending.
- Current Full NZ Drivers License
The role
This position is full-time, with normal hours of work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Competitive hourly pay rate depending upon your experience.
