The Technical Product Lead will define the product development process and implement best practices to deliver towards the Ministry's Digital Strategic Plan, specifically for the products and services owned by Workspace and Aggregation Services. This is a permanent full-time position located within the Ministry of Justice National Office in Wellington.
This position is suitable for an experienced software developer of varied skill sets who can combine technical and administrative experiences into motivating and inspiring themselves and other team members. The applicant must be able to work under broad direction that may often be self-initiated. You will be responsible for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives, establishing milestones and assignment of tasks and/or responsibilities within the Workspace and Aggregation Services team.
The successful person will report directly to the Manager- Workspace and Aggregation Services.
Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
- experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure based solutions including Intune and Entra ID
- experience with a wide range of operating systems across corporate devices, specifically Microsoft Windows, Teams Rooms on Windows, Apple iOS and Android
- experience with service delivery life cycle across:
- programming/software development. The design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended technical components from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed development and security standards and processes
- systems design- to be able to provide specification and design of information systems to meet defined business needs. The identification of concepts and their translation into implementable design. The retention of compatibility of systems with enterprise and solution architectures, and the adherence to corporate standards within constraints of cost, security and maintainability
- experience in product or service support such as by providing advice or training to users as well as working with vendors and incident management teams to resolve technical issues
- ability to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within the organisation and a wide network of professional relationships across several partners and vendors
- collaboration and communicating with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues
- have an understanding and appreciation of Tikanga Māori
- solid understanding of Agile and Development methodologies would be advantageous.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $117,904 and $163,344 based on skills and experience.
