About the Opportunity:

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Technical Writer to join a team at a leading fire detection equipment manufacturer in Wellington. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for Pertronic's products and systems, including supported third-party products.

Role Description:

In this full-time, permanent role, the successful candidate will collaborate with the Compliance team, ensuring accurate and clear customer-facing documentation. You’ll be involved in researching technical products and systems, and producing well-structured technical documents and manuals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for products

  • Researching and fact-checking technical product information

  • Managing the technical document library

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation

  • Using graphic design and image processing tools to enhance documentation

This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background / experience / qualities:

  • Experience writing technical documentation for technical products

  • Strong skills with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and basic graphic design

  • Understanding of electronic schematics and board-level electronics

  • Knowledge of software applications and configuration concepts

  • Fire industry knowledge (AU, NZ, UK, EU, US) is highly regarded
