We are seeking a Technology Specialist (L2) to join the Customer and Compliance Services - Planning, Design and Delivery (Customer Action) team with a specific focus on tax returns and communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.
This is a newly created role that will play a key part in ensuring system changes are well understood and effectively implemented by key stakeholders. You'll work closely with our delivery teams as well as External Relationships team to build stronger, more transparent partnerships with key stakeholders.
In this role you will:
- act as a key liaison between internal teams and key stakeholders to explain the tax and technical rationale behind system changes
- support the design and implementation of system changes that impact external stakeholders
- gather and incorporate feedback from key stakeholders to improve solution design and delivery
- identify issues and help design solutions to complex problems
- maintain strong collaborative relationships within the team and across other Planning, Design and Delivery teams
- network with policy, product, and technology teams to ensure alignment and clarity of changes required to returns.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
- recent experience in a tax-focused accounting firm or similar environment
- a strong understanding of tax software and how system changes are implemented
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and tax concepts into clear, actionable insights
- a strong understanding and experience of accounting standards
- the ability to mentor/coach other team members to build capability and technical expertise
- the ability to lead/drive initiatives to deliver the right customer outcomes
- proven experience in solving complex problems.
