Trade Assistant Mechanic

Tradestaff is currently seeking a Mechanical Trade Assistant in Taupō. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople in mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Handle and organize tools, equipment, and materials required for mechanical work.
• Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Follow strict safety protocols to ensure work is carried out in compliance with industry standards.
• Perform general labour tasks such as equipment handling and material transportation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Work alongside a skilled team to ensure timely project completion.

✅ Requirements

• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks and lift heavy items.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Clean criminal history.
• Transport and a minimum of a restricted driver’s license.
