An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly Cardiology Team. We are looking for Trainee Cardiac Physiology Technician to undertake training on fixed term contract within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Counties Manukau

About the Role
The role involves on the job training with completion of a one year Certificate of Physiological Measurement (CPM) offered by the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT).
You will be trained to perform non-invasive cardiac procedures including ECG recording, Holter monitor and Event fitting, Exercise Tolerance Testing and spirometry.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Counties Manukau has a strong, positive and forward thinking team. You will be working alongside a supportive inter-disciplinary team within the Cardiology department including Physiologists, sonographers, Cardiac Nurses and Physicians across our Counties Manukau Sites.

About you
The successful applicant will:
- Have a minimum of NCEA Level 2 (60 credits at level 2, plus 20 credits at any level, plus literacy and numeracy credit requirements at level 1), including a pass in one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Science.
- Have a passion for excellent service delivery focusing on top quality care for our patients.
- Be flexible and adaptable with excellent time management skills
- Be a 'people person' with excellent communication skills
- Have the ability to maintain high professional standards
- Be a highly-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team as well as independently
