This
is a great opportunity for an MIT to be trained as a Sonographer.
It is
a 3 year fixed term role that would
become a permanent position once training has been completed.
This
position is located in Wairau Hospital in Blenheim where we offer
a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General
Radiography, CT Scanning, Ultrasound and Mammography.
The team
prides itself on being friendly and supportive and works with the people of our
community to promote, encourage and enable their health, well-being and
independence. This role is best suited to a person who values teamwork,
respects individual needs and is motivated by excellent clinical outcomes.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
We are looking for someone who has current registration in the 'Trainee Sonographer - scope of practice with the NZMRT Board.
You will be a positive, friendly and supportive team player with a good sense of humour and:
- an interest in and/or experience of Sonography
- well-developed communication skills and empathy
- the passion to deliver high-quality healthcare
- flexibility to
work a Monday to Friday rotating roster
Solid relationship management skills and a
commitment to professional development and quality assurance programmes. You
will also be versatile and able to adapt to a constantly changing
environment.
This role is open to anyone with an acceptable
undergraduate degree for the post graduate ultrasound program.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a
valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
