Truck Driver required in Otago region

(Civil & Commercial Construction experience required)

OneStaff is looking for Experienced Drivers who are not afraid of hard work! These roles require organized, reliable and trustworthy individuals. You might be asked to work in different locations and in all types of weather to assist with our projects, so flexibility is essential.

The everyday duties include all activities related to operating and driving heavy trucks and equipment with high standards of health and safety and complying with NZ road safety regulations.

Duties include: This role involves both driving and manual labour, so you must be physically fit

• Undertake any alternate responsibilities as directed by your supervisor
• Have a clear understanding of your responsibility for health and safety
• You must be confident working under pressure and in stressful conditions, such as poor weather and heavy traffic.
• Making regular checks of vehicles to ensure the vehicle is safe and secure
• Follow predetermined routes for timely transport and delivery
• Maintain and service vehicles as needed
• Follow and adhere to company rules, regulations and NZ traffic laws

Requirements

• Current Class 2 or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• 3+ years of relevant driving experience
• Physically fit, reliable and hardworking
• Health & safety-focused attitude

Pay conditions:  Min $29.66 to $31.00

Hours of work: A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed.

Locations: You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including, Northland Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, West Coast, Canterbury & Otago.
