Job Description

Handle daily unit pricing, reconciliations, and support fund changes in a hybrid role with an investment operations team. 6-month contract.

About the Role:

This 6-month contract sits within the investment operations team of a respected financial services firm in Auckland.

The core of the job is unit pricing — making sure daily valuations are accurate, issues are picked up early, and nothing falls through the cracks. There’s also work around reconciliations, reporting, and supporting changes to funds and client setups.

It’s a good match for someone who knows the ropes in fund accounting or investment operations, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to contribute to a small, capable team without getting caught up in red tape.

In This Role You May Be

  • Calculating and validating daily unit prices for a range of investment funds
  • Performing and reviewing reconciliations, such as cash and asset holdings
  • Supporting financial reporting and assisting with audit-related tasks
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and contributing to ongoing process improvements
  • Assisting with new client setups and structural changes to existing funds
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams and external clients
  • Sharing your expertise and helping develop others on the team
About You
  • You’ve worked in fund administration, investment operations, or fund accounting
  • You’re confident handling complex pricing and reconciliation tasks
  • You’re comfortable in Excel and have a strong attention to detail
  • You may have experience guiding or training others—even informally
  • You’re adaptable and enjoy working in a hybrid setup
  • You hold a degree in finance, accounting, or commerce (CPA/CA pathway a plus)
  • You’re proactive and always looking for ways to improve systems and processes
What You’ll Get in Return
  • A technically interesting role where your contributions truly matter
  • A collaborative team environment that values both accuracy and innovation
  • Hybrid working model—potential 2-days working from home
  • Opportunity to take ownership of a technically complex role
  • A chance to work with a respected name in investment operations that will look great on your CV
