Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role

You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of volunteer data and contributing to improvements in how this data is managed and used across Fire and Emergency NZ. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Coordinating and processing volunteer data updates (onboarding, transfers, leavers, etc.)
  • Monitoring data integrity
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve data systems and processes.
  • Supporting the annual volunteer reimbursement process – processing opt-ins and validating data.
  • Working with the HRIS & Reporting team to ensure smooth and efficient data practices.
  • Helping stakeholders understand the value and limitations of the data available.

 

This is a permanent full-time position based in Wellington, with flexibility to work remotely on 1-2 days a week.

  • Experience working with large data sets and HR information systems.
  • Excellent administrative coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • A real appreciation for the contribution volunteers make to our communities.

The salary range for this role is $72,709 to $ 80,788 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
