About the Role
With over 15,000 employees, at Health NZ Auckland Te Toka Tumai & Health NZ National office, rostering is highly important to the organisation. The Workforce System Specialist will have a strong technical background with experience in project management.
Working with the Rostering and Payroll teams, you will act as a liaison point with various internal and external stakeholders, providing specialist knowledge to help troubleshoot issues and improving system efficiency by consulting with end users and providing innovative solutions. While this role works primarily with Te Toka Tumai, Auckland, and the Health NZ National Office, this role will also provide advice to Counties-Manukau and Waitemata Districts teams.

This role is based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre, where you will join a passionate team of HR professionals dedicated to providing exceptional support to the business. About you
You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in payroll and workforce systems. Your expertise includes managing system processes, driving system improvements, and providing operational support to ensure efficiency and compliance. With a deep understanding of system compliance and risk management, you excel at maintaining accuracy and integrity across workforce systems.
This role requires extensive expertise in rostering and timecard system configuration. We only encourage experienced professionals to apply at this time.
- A relevant degree or more than 5 years of rostering system configuration experience
- Ability to speak knowledgably around all matters to do with SaaS infrastructure as well as be able to conduct reporting in SQL as required
- Experience of the Holidays Act 2003, as well as previous experience with rostering systems such as UKG Dimensions or Kronos Workforce Central or similar, is desired but not essential.
