The tūranga - The role
This role sits within our Property Assets team which is responsible for the effective and efficient management of our property portfolio and facilities. As the Workspace Lead you will be responsible for managing the workspaces across both our Wellington and Auckland offices. You will provide input into annual plans, budgets and projects along with supporting the work of the wider property team when required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring workspaces meet the needs of our business units in a neighbourhood setting
  • Providing input into annual plans, budgets and projects
  • Subject matter expertise advice around current and future property and facilities considerations
  • Efficient and proactive management of the Contract Lifecycle for suppliers
  • Keeping up to date on relevant Health & Safety legislation and advocating for improvements
  • Active participation in the Property teams' on-call roster

Ō pūkenga - About you
You will need to be a natural communicator, a diplomat and an advocate. You will be an expert on current best practice across workspace management and able to build great working relationships within our business groups and with external suppliers. Risk management and mitigation will come naturally to you, as will the ability to track costs and plan for future budgeting.

We are looking for people with:

  • Proven experience in a Workspace or Facilities Management role
  • A solid understanding of the Building Act and codes of compliance
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety relating to the built environment and Contractor Management
  • Procurement and on-going contract management experience
  • Continuous improvement focus, the ability to engage others and encourage innovation
